I stared rolling on the 3 wheelers in '72 or '73. Back then it was Bergens. Then later in the 70's it was Moon 3 wheel roller skis from Sweden. I agree, I don't envy folks skiing 3000 miles on that gear. It would be a lot "easier" with today's roller skis. Not that a 3000 mile ski trip is easy any way you do it ...

When I started roller skiing (couple years after this) the popular 3 wheelers were by exel and roleto - had a lot of fun on the roletos - exels not so much. Skiing long distance like that was quite an accomplishment - especially on those big heavy clunkers. I still ski with a couple of these guys.
