To me, a Muscle car drag races better than anything else. Sports cars are cars you buy to have fun with. Supercars are closer to a race car. An example of each category in order would be, Challenger, Corvette, Enzo. I'm gonna say from '90's and up, the 'vette is a high end sports car, like a 911 or F430. The new ZR1 pulls super car numbers, so it's a supercar. There's my point. Unless you think drag racing corvettes and vipers is a good idea.
@mikeb1444, TODAY'S Corvette (ZR1) isn't a muscle car, but the corvette from the 60s,70s,80s and 90s was definitely a muscle car from the muscle car era. No doubt about it.
The corvette isn't a muscle car. The Corvette has been a bargain supercar since the 90's. GM can't afford to make fancy chassis like the Carrera GT, so instead, they made the standard Corvette chassis, and just put different parts in it. That's like Porsche offering the Carrera GT in a steel body and frame, with a four cylinder, and then a top model that's carbon fiber with a V10.
Why is it that Europe makes the best damn Supercars followed by Japan. America makes nice Muscle Cars and Sports Cars, but I think America needs to revive the Vector because Dodge got lost with the Viper and Chevy can't seem to decide whether or not they want the Corvette to remain a muscle car, or Supercar.

I've driven* the Porsche Carrera GT and GT3, and I love the GT3 - it's the best in the 911 line...ever:
But after driving each, the Carrera GT makes driving the GT3 feel like a VW Beetle.
