His work includes the recent Bleak House, Pride and Prejudice, The Old Devils, To Serve Them All My Days and House of Cards. His original work includes A Very Peculiar Practice and Game on. From The Late Show in1992.

  • Had he written Pride and Prejudice by then? It was a good long time in the filming. Before it came out, there was a fuss in the papers (no doubt helped along by Andrew Davies himself) about Mr. Darcy in the bath. Although this passed without notice, and everyone always talks about him in his wet shirt.

    Quite right about RF Delderfield, by the way. A great disappointment after watching the serial on tv.
