Close to you my words don't come as well as they usually do
It's just that it has been so long since I've felt this way you're making me feel
It doesn't matter if you're near or far, I can't stop thinking about just how lovely you are
But you've made it clear that you don't feel this way that I do
and it's tearing me apart
It seems to me that I should be better by now
at remembering how to forget
But it will always be hard to shut the door
when I can see so clearly the things about you that I fell for
But you'll never change, you'll never feel this way that I do
I will never be...
Close to you, I can be myself like it seems that you can be yourself too
You seem to know just where I'm coming from
and your words come from the heart
All the signs are telling me to give up
to try to forget this way that I feel, yet again
But I swear I felt something between us to
and it's tearing me apart
