I stop facing uphill easier. I think its cause i can get my body waaaaay lower to the snow by putting my hands down and dragging them if i have to.

For me i think the toe-side stop is easier... i just can't keep my balance on my heel-side

@kevinpmil Very important. I justgot a concussion last week from letting my heel side catch the snow......not fun

I find the toe-side stop so much easier than the heel side stop! No clue why, but I just can't get the hang of heel-side!

I learned how to stop facing uphill before I learned how to stop facing downhill.
Very good tip. But he needed to emphasize how important it is to keep your heel side up when doing this. Falling backward is very painful and fast when the heel edge digs in. Just keep on your toes. :)
