@VikingInvaders: I am sure there is more to it than just our historic bonds. Our culture is also very similar to the culture of the other Scandinavian countries. Not to mention our language. Danish and Swedish actually both derive from East Norse, while Norwegian, Faroese and Icelandic derive from West Norse. And East Norse and West Norse both derive from Old Norse- the language the vikings spoke. Denmark is a part of Scandinavia. Period. Any objections?
Well, 1 can compare it with Amsterdam some way; it's merely North-European rather than purely Scandinavian, as, e.g., Oslo or Stocholm. It's ranked N1 in some "quality lists" and 2 B honest it's pretty difficult 2 disagree!..
Wow, as a Danish citizen (from Copenhagen) I'm very flattered! Thank you. It's a great report too. I agree with the most of the argumentation, Danes drink a lot, maybe too much (me inclusive) , it's damn cold in the winter, Danes are often helpful I think, but of course it's hard to say when I come from Denmark... It's fun to see what others think. :)
@riethc I'm a scandinavia too.. Sweden ^^ and ur right We aren't looking good any of us in scandinavia ^^ I'm pretty sure i'm out of here in any time xD
Just returned from Copenhagen (was there for the UN Climate Conference) and totally fell in love with the city while I was there. (The conference, not so much - as an NGO member, we were "disinvited" by the UN, and then went to hang out at Klimaforum, which was much better anyway!) Agree that Copenhagen is full of people who are very helpful - they couldn't have been nicer, and most of them speak better English than many Americans I know.
