I would like to write a few words about the expedition. As a group of 4 operators we did the best we could. Making almost 30.000 QSOs in 7 days is a pretty nice accomplishment. Especially when you consider the fact that an enormous number of contacts were made on CW. We were trying to give E4 to as many stations as possible and we are sorry that the conditions weren't good enough to work more West Coast and North West of NA. Why we didnt work more SSB? The answer is easy. Doors to Palestine are pretty much opened for anybody and we are sure that every other expedition will spend much more time on SSB than on CW. There are also some local licensed operators but once they will come on air it will be again SSB only. We closely watched the reactions on the internet, such as: listen for asia, 12m is opened, qsy to 10m, please RTTY on 80m and so on. You can be sure that we checked the conditions on 12m and 10m and even though the band seemed to be opne in some parts of the World it was not opened for us. There was a 3rd radio watching the propagation very closely. We tried listen for DX stations as much as possible. CQing on 30, 40, 80, 160, LP/SP with the rate of 30 QSOs per hour and with great patience, trying to get every single station with weak signal into the log instead of running pile up on some other band for close stations. The effort and enthusiasm of the operators were just great. Thanks to the sponsors for the donations and support, it helped us a lot. Next we would like to thank you all for the contatcs and last but not least I would like to thank the E4 team, Steve OM3JW, Rudy OM3PC and Miro OM5RW for the terrific job they have done, for the professional operation, for the energy they had to built the "QTH", for the hours they have spent behind the radio with sometimes just 4 hours of sleep a day and for the people who i had the pleasure of spending the wonderful 9 days in Palestine. Thank you guys!
Good video. Yes, I need Palestine & with my modest wire antennas, I get through on cw better. Good on you for keeping it cw. 5*. 73, Bob, G0IMB.
