Line Up is a 30-second commercial that was assigned for production by the famous Mother Advertising Ltd. It was produced for the British childrens fund Barnardos for its We believe in Children-campaign and financed by the Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
The advert features an old, beaten up woman at a police station, who is supposed to identify the offender from a line up of stereotypical suspects. The police are shocked as the old woman suddenly identifies a young boy to be offender.
The message: Dont make this generation just another statistic!
The films goal is to motivate the public to reopen the debate about violence and poverty against kids whist being reminded to Believe in our children dont judge them.
The film won two of the acclaimed KODAK student awards Best in Brief as well as 2nd best overall. The award also provided the winning film crew with all the equipment they would need to start working on their next project.
The film received its first screening at the KODAK Award Show in London in early December 2008. It has since entered the European KODAK Award Competition where it will compete as an official British contribution.
