Honestly, I feel that the platonic relationship they share in the canon is so close and touching, and that honestly, Nimoy and Shatner have such an electricity between them when they act, that it isn't hard for some of us (especially those predisposed to boys kissing) to make the connection. I understand where you're coming from, but I could be an irrational fangirl over every picture you showed of them, and therefore, your proof isn't very solid. :3

A fan mentioned the 'thyla' comment, remember K/S fans are part of Gene Roddenberry's audience, he was catering to them & didn't want to stir anything up. He's saying that if you wish K/S to be an item, feel free to see it that way. He's never denied them & he's never agreed either. Roddenberry's talked about the Spock/Chapel & Spock/Uhura relationship aswell, so don't go trying to jinx it as if the Kirk & Spock relationship is the only important thing. It certainly isn't.

Some fans will slash no matter what, in every fandom, with any boys (and girls). They like the thrill of the forbidden and/or unexpected. I think Kirk and Spock had deep feelings for each other, and while they might not have been romantically involved on the show, its great inspiration for fans that are inclined.
