To all of you. I have worked on the MV Muirneag and she is a great ship. There is nothing wrong with her. She doesnt need a new engine or anything. The engine is highly reliable and its back-ups have back-ups. In all, a great vessel.
The engines aren't the problem. The fuel tanks are on one side so she lists quite heavily. Generally she's just crap in the water. The other boat mv muirneag needs a new engine.
Unlucky to be stuck on the boat though...I used to enjoy it, now it just bores the life out of me (because my favourite parts have gone and it stinks of fishy diesel and stale food) even with the PSP...it's just a 165 minute (2 hours and 45 minutes) journey on a rocking box...how exciting...</sarcasm> ¬_¬
FTW, that "Stornoway ferry"'s name is the MV Isle of Lewis - same as the island it sails to. I should know, I visit my gran in dell (a place in the Outer Hebrides) and take it twice every fuckin' year. XD

Yeah,
but I believe the Muirneag is flat bottomed meaning in some seas even hardened lorry drivers have the shit scare out of them. Bring back the Suilven.
