original title:
howtheworldworks gives a big thanks to his sock accounts... err... i mean subscribers!

7/27/10: i was surprised to learn today that some people are still talking about this video. look, for clarification. there is no evidence that that any of the accounts used in this video are owned by lee doren, aka howtheworldworks. this video was based on pure speculation, and a sincere dislike for doren.
i honestly thought people had moved from this topic, but i guess some people don't have anything better to do than than dwelling for the past 8 or 9 months on someone they hate.

  • Lol, failed attempt at discrediting him, but nice effort.

First there's no proof that he created the accounts (or that they're even socks). Assuming that they were socks, they could've been created by anybody.

Second, the guy has almost 30,000 subscribers, so why would he waste time creating about 30 socks?

Why can't any of you guys actually refute his arguments? Even if he was a shameless self-promoter, his arguments would still stand anyway, so you haven't done anything to discredit him.

  • @elvishairdude12 did you even bother to read the big red annotations i added to the video or the video info?

  • @cristoballs I just happened to have stumbled upon this feud or whatever you call it. If you don't want people commenting on it, why don't you delete it?

The evidence in the video is that they are not sock accounts. Look at the wide range of subscription dates and # of videos watched, which Lee could not easily fake. It's not impossible, but it would be insanely complicated to do so, and would have required multi-year planning. Maybe he has a few socks, I have no idea.

  • @silikon2 "If you don't want people commenting on it, why don't you delete it?"

this video got a lot of traction, in large part because it was featured on tf00t's channel. there are a few mirrors of this video on youtube. so i figured it's best to leave the original up, being that i was the person that started the whole thing with the sock account accusations. so if anyone wants to continue making the claim, they can be directed to this video. make sense?

  • This is BS. If HTWW actually had sock accounts, he would have to make hundreds to actually make a difference in his subscriber population. There is no proof of sock accounts.

  • @ManOfDeath567 i believe that was the point of annotations i added.

  • Doreen Summers Eve.

  • LOL! He spent the time to type "Thanks for Subscribing" on every single sock-puppet accounts that he has created!

  • @cristoballs good for you, your own video made you look like a moron and to defend yourself from criticism you tell people they have no life. You're an idiot. You're an Idiot. You're an idiot.

  • This video is famous. Funny stuff.

We all know Doren is a think tank shill, just like everyone else in the media. Why should this surprise or upset anyone?

  • @cristoballs the video is screwed up on my computer i think or just screwed up. it is just music no words...

  • UGH!! GET THAT NIGGER MUSIC OFF THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cristoballs Well, it just seemed obnoxious in your captions to imply that anyone that might have an issue with it was hung up on something. With respect, I would definitely leave the video up for the reasons you stated, but drop those captions and let people decide for themselves on the merits. I don't know if a lot of people are hung up on it, but it is very off-putting to newer viewers of this material to make that claim.

Which argument? That government spending doesn't stimulate the economy? haha - yes it does.

How about taxes - guess what the top marginal rate in the year that America's unemployment rate was the lowest? 92% in 1953 with an unemployment rate of 2.5% - I'm not saying there is a clear causal link here, but it certainly turns Doren's arguments upside down.

Lee has no real arguments. Just ideological conjecture and assumptions.
