yeah.. i know the transitions are a bit weak. i kinda' just came up with this combination so i haven't quite solidified the transitions. perhaps it would have worked better if i had an accompaniment. i WAS stomping my foot during the Drowsy Maggie transition, but you can't hear it..
"Kid on the Mountain" is a traditional Irish slip jig, and has been a more difficult tune for me to master. i guess it's partly because in the past i would play it too fast :P i'm actually a classically-trained violinist, and have had to teach myself celtic fiddling, based on the first year or so of introduction to celtic fiddling and the various workshops i have been to. this is most evident in this tune--i really need to keep working on loosening up and playing with the celtic beat :/
"Morrison's Jig" is a traditional Irish jig. I always have fun playing this jig, even if you can't tell it from the video :P in fact, i was getting a little TOO into the foot-stomping/swaying to the beat (i can't really move around much if i'm filming or i'd go off camera) and got a bit distracted.. XD
"Drowsy Maggie" is a Scottish reel (that still needs some work on my part :/ ) it is one of the two "Maggies", as i call them, which are top favorites of mine to play. the other is Sleepy Maggie--which i find more intense (and will record later-- i still haven't because to me it doesn't sound as good without accompaniment, which i sorely need.. but then, ALL of them sound much better with accompaniment--and are much more fun to play with accompaniment)
i thought the kid on the mountain was never going to end.

yeah.. i can kinda' see what you mean
its probably a result of the length of the tune itself--i was wanting to play each tune 3 times, but i didn't really take into account how much longer kid on the mountain was than the other two
