I agree that it would've been a better demonstration with a visibly dirty microwave. But aside from that, I will say this is how I clean my microwave and it works. It's a great way to loosen up cooked-on splatters so you don't have to scrub or use chemical cleaners. You don't want to use chemical cleaners inside your microwave because they'll leave residues that will vaporize and can end up in your food the next time you cook in the microwave.

Seen other demonstrations using the same technique, only you suggested that we allow the steaming water to sit another few minutes, which proves to be helpful. Thanks for sharing.

everything in your video is true and helpful, but visible dirt would have made a better demonstration...just a thought.
