This is the first of a new video series I'm starting up, reviewing clubs and bars in Tokyo. In this first video, I talk about an area in Tokyo called Roppongi.

General info:
My channel, TokyoZeplin, focuses on my experiences as a gaijin, a foreigner, living (or lived as of now) in Tokyo, Japan. While a lot of my videos are not facts about Japan, but rather my personal experiences in Japan, mostly Tokyo, a few of them do pop up. My topics range from prostitution in Japan, Japanese porn (no, not really), womens rights in Japan, working conditions in Tokyo, japanese hostesses and their culture, japanese history and culture in general, and much more. Now and then I help people learn japanese, especially japanese slang, though not a lot since there are a lot of tools for learn japanese online. But since I rarely went outside Tokyo, this is really mostly about Tokyo Japan, as my name indicates.

Tokyozeplin- hmmmm at 5:10 of your video you state there are a lot of Hostess Clubs that foreigners can sometimes get into, but in your other video you said foreigners can't get into Hostess Clubs...... you contradict yourself.

7th heaven damn. i am going there. once i turns 18. quick question. Do you have to be 18 to enter strip clubs or bars, or is the age higher or lower

@CoreBor super late answer, but to answer: dunno exactly, but since you have to be 20 to smoke and drink, I'd assume the same would go for entering a strip club. And yes they generally do check ID for clubs.

Hostess clubs are a rip-off unless you go CHEAP (not usually much good) or you have more money then you know what to do with.

@darrenmykel - Not normally Japanese. Most of the time they are Foreigners.... in Roppongi anyway. You really don't want to mess with them.

@109mytiger - I have beent to some Hostess bars that were less than $100 and as much as $1,000. Depends on what level they are and where they are.

@BboyFeeney - Gaspanic or sometimes known as "Asspanic" because it seems like people go there to either get some ass or kick some ass. The women they normally go there are pretty skanky as well. Tokyo Mid-Town is better.

Tokyozeplin- Roppongi used to be a fairly nice place back in the 1980's when I first got here. People would go there dressed fairly nice and not get hassled. Unlike now where you can't walk 20 meters without some scumbag trying to drag you into their "titty bar" and not accepting "NO" as answer. There are also the Chinese "massaji" girls trying to get you. That kind of crap just didn't happen until the last 10~15 years. It's a shit hole to be avoided now.
