@MrChemistrygod your attitude s ugly
-
really nice video good work keep doing these experiments and sharing them with us

can I use sodium metabisulfate instead of sodium bisulfite. If so can you give tell me how much? your help is much appreciated :)

Mix copper(II) chloride and ascorbic acid.

@hhmm89 The expletives helped me get it. I appreciate you breaking this barrier of understanding.
-
@Zink575 Damnit you guys, I didn't say he broke the law or anything!
I merely pointed out that he used the same "paper showing username" method and same format and colour scheme of warnings as NurdRage
Try to fucking understand!

@hhmm89 Nevermind, NurdRage has copywrited the use of paper. Good call.
doesnt beaker A itself make CuCl? i mixed CuSO4 and NaCl and it made a light blue precipitate.

First of all, sorry for the late response. I have not been a lot into chemistry lately, but I am back!
To explain your question, let me quote bla287's comment on this video:
"the blue Cu(II) ions kind of "react" with the Cl(-) to form green complex ions like [CuCl4](2-) etc. The Cu(II) must get an electron from somewhere in order to be reduced to Cu(I) like in CuCl (the chloride will not give away its e(-) to become Cl2, Cu(2+) isn't strong enough to "rip it away")"

@randyrox69 & @hhmm89, where did you see a video on copper chloride at NurtdRage??? I don't know on what internet your on, but it seems that it's not the same as ChemistryEnthusiast. Who, by the way, is trying to teach us something. Not only blabing about copper.
