This two million plus yaht almost wipes out a row of boats and then ends up almost into the harbor wall. Let's just say this guy needed a new pair of undershorts after this stupid attempt to enter the harbor during a tsunami warning...

  • We - meaning myself and all the 100+ people watching this including most of Dana Point's commercial charters and fishermen were glad to see this boat make it out safe. The leason here should be listen to your radio and what is going on around you. Several other smaller boats attempted to enter the harbor and were told to turn around on the radio and over the PA system. There were several upset people including harbor officials and other boat owners when this happened.

  • Thank you everyone for your comments. I want to make something very clear here, as a boat owner, long time mariner and deep sea fisherman, this was a very unfortunate situation that happened here in Dana Point. This happened right in front of the Harbor Patrol House in the harbor. You can see the house in the background. These captians were well aware of the danger and ignored the warnings. The tsnunami did showed up late, however no one should underestimate the power nature has to offer.

  • Not exactly colonelchi. All mariners were told to move their boats offshore 3 miles to prevent them from damaging the docks and habor when the water rushes in and out. You should know your maritime rules before making uneducated comments.

  • Thats a quality boat. 7'6 draft, 300k lbs, Diesel Torque = #WINNER!!!!. 4th and inches though.. I'm pretty sure channel 16 on the VHF would have been filled with warnings and not saying "come on back.......burgers at the station....coast guard is bringin' the beer."

  • Audrey's Dream almost became Audrey's Nightmare. Wonder if it has sold yet, asking price was in the $4 mil plus range last time I saw.

  • You must be going faster than he current in order to steer.

  • Don't worry, it's a Nordhavn!

  • Yacht? No. "Boat".

  • this almmost really sucked lol

  • 2 million!?!?! Try like $4,500,000...Used!

  • @oceaneagleable You can't even construct a sentence correctly in your native language, angry, senile dope. Further, you don't understand logic or debate, as proven by this post. What you just did is called both an ad hominem attack, and a distraction. You could not figure out how to factually reject what I said last (were you a "boating professional" you'd have known the CG warned to stay out, and violating that would NOT be "professional" conduct), so you resort to "yer dumm". Pathetic.

  • @oceaneagleable you are not being respectful, so no. A "professional" would not have tried to enter harbor when the CG was giving warnings not to. Further, a "professional" would know that had been the case, and wouldn't be arguing on that douchebag's behalf, making you either a senile jackass in need of meds, or a liar about your background. Either way, this did not end well for you. Had you basic intelligence, you would have seen this coming.

  • 2 million? try like 4... lol
