@ iadorenewyork. fyi we all adore new york so anyway... Lavay Smith is herself... she is not Billy Holiday .And this is HER version of the Billy Holiday rendition. If you have ever actually seen her , and her band perform live you would not be so critical. since by all means you are a self proclaimed vocalist and singer. HHHHHHHHHHaterade.. whatevs.. love lavey.. she usually appears

If you wish to hear this song done well, check out Billie Holiday's rendition. I appreciate the energy of the band and lead singer. However, she is off-pitch a lot of the time, unfortunately. I would notice this even if I didn't sing myself. I think that she should bring her vocal skills up to her confidence level, and it would be great. A vocal coach would help her nail those notes.

Lavay Smith is fantastic and Cafe du Nord is a great place to see her. If you live in San Francisco check her out, she's there once a month or so.
