  • WOW! so cool to hear this great early period of coop music in its develope-mental stage. The released KILLER album version of these songs seem pure genius, but with these early and very different Lyrics/vocal lines one can see the work that went into these "KILLER" songs! The instrumental parts are interestingly close to the final product. Please keep these early ALICE COOPER GROUP gems coming on Cooptube!

  • This album also inspired Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols. In fact, Johnny Rotten has said that Killer is the greatest rock album of all time.

  • I think a boxset of this album should be done, like the 7 disc stooges funhouse set..every scrap of tape recorded.Every mistake, out take,etc..imagine that..it'd be like you were in the band!

  • I;ve realized th@ this psalm is actually a prayer to find ME - The Desert Knight Thing (Cousin 'IT) - The Man Ascending !!! I AM TH@ Priest and Clown Simultaneity Going To Town to save ALLAH EWEz from the U.S. and the Other Eleven Tribes' Reign of Tyranny. I Stole The National Debt becuase I wasn;t getting laid. But Ewe knew th@ when ALLAH YOU ALL laid down. I'm waking the DEAD (All caps NAMES) and was [Inter-nationally trademarked as] First to Announce th@ The [formerly DEAD CHURCH HAS RISEN !!

  • I like this based on the fact that .. WELL it's good!\m/

  • Amazing. "Killer" is one of my fave discs ever, and yet I had no idea this gestating stuff was out there. Instrumental parts are ALMOST where they are on the album, but lyrically the song would become MUCH darker. A great insight into one of the Coop's greatest moments!

  • Does anybody know what the lyrics are where he says "softly calling" and then some thing "winds blow up on my bed". To get winds blow up on my bed? Two kin winds? It seems like a kind of wind, but I can't make out the words. Also, is it "a coyote starts to" go? Or call? Or howl? Thanks in advance for any help with this.

  • Glad that Alice Cooper was finally put in the Rock hall of fame. It's LONG overdue. These guys had a greatest hits before most other bands were finally learning to wipe there own asses.

  • @rockymtndrifter Exactly! Well said, my man! (and that's not a "line-crossing" inuendo, either)! The Coop used to drink and watch lots of television. This, he says, was the inspriation for his music. And these were the years right after American TV's Great Western Daze. (If any of it crossed any lines, remember that Liberace had a weekly TV show long before the Alice Cooper band reared its ugly head!)

  • I don't know why but I love hearing false starts on demos. This is great.

  • Okay let's get this straight (excuse the pun)

The Alice Cooper crossed a lot lines and

because of this all rock stars owe them

    But Desperato did not.

It is infact a song about john wayne clint eastwood

audie murphy burt lancaster lee marvin
