The best way I know how to get a baby in the Onbu without help. Also I want to add, I know you cannot see it in this video, but when I am putting the first strap through the ring, the other strap is securely under armpit and then tucked between my knees. While I am getting the second strap through the ring, the strap already through the ring is now between my knees. Rest assured I am not a negligent mother. She isnt going to fall.

  • where can you buy one like yours?

  • I dont think Babyhawk makes an Onbu anymore. But I do believe that Sachi makes one.

  • you kinda look like tina fay

  • Hahahaha I know. I get that all the time!

  • I have an Ergo, too. The weight distribution feels the same with the Ergo as it does with the Onbu until around 20lbs. And then I like the feel of the Ergo better. You definitely feel more weight on your shoulders with the Onbu after 20lbs.

  • how about getting that thing off and the baby out safe..show that unassisted!

  • Thats actually easier than getting it on. Untie the straps, lean over and tuck them inbetween your knees, and pull the baby under your arm and onto your hip. My sister now has ths carrier and she lives 4 hours away from me, otherwise I would be more than happy to show you!

  • Hee hee, it looks like fun

To be slung around and tied to someone in a piggy-back-fashion XDDD

    Very cool

  • Nicely done, mama! I like that you don't fuss with words!

  • Thats Cool. ^^

  • Thanks for the great video! I think I like the idea of an Onbu better than my mei tai's. Less straps to deal with.

    Adorable baby, too :)
