Despite the culture of veneration for the men and women in uniform, life for US veterans is often grim.

Physical and mental illness are common, and on any given night, nearly 300,000 vets, many of them who served in Vietnam, are homeless.

This week on Inside USA, we look at how a new generation of soldiers, is experiencing many of the same realities.

He scored a "D" while Obama scored a "B" from the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, the largest Iraq veteran non-partisan group in the United States. Hey, I didn't make this stuff up. Its just fact.

Get mad at the vets doing their research and keeping record if you don't like it.
