A couple people have mentioned that they heard this song in a Bugs Bunny 'toon. That is where I, too, first heard it, yeeeeears ago! So cool to be sitting here in Mexico with "The 5 o'clock whistle!"
@dwired007 Actually, I dont think she was. I believe it was after her career was quite established. I think it was the way she was recorded, because I do agree, she does sound different. She was in an experimental phase with her voice by this point (with all the scatting and all) Who knows, its the mystery of Ella! :D
Bugs led me here too. Who would ever have thought when that toon was made it would be having an impact this many years later? Thank you very much for posting it here.
