@TheMiniDwarf Clickers are small plastic things that make a clicking sound. You can teach your dog to learn that the sound of a clicker means it did something right and gets a treat. If you're trying to teach your dog a trick it can make the process faster and help stop behaviors you disapprove of. Be careful though, because sometimes clickers are very loud and can be harmful to your dogs ear. It can be very helpful to click behind your back.

What do the clickers do? I might get one for training my 6 month old Terrier (or Yorkshir, I dunno).

I trained my golden retriever how to cross his paws with this video when he was only 11 weeks old. He got it down the same day. Now he is going to be 2 years old. Now every time he wants something so bad he lays down and crosses his paws..lol.it is the only way we know he wants it that bad. We got a 4 month old pomeranian and want to teach her how to cross her paws too but she is so easily distracted. I know how to solve that issue,I just can't wait to get both my dogs to do this trick together.

@PetluverChannel that sounds right. But if he gets frustrated take a step back.

@doodlepawz Maybe try a better treat under the lid?

Great tutorial! thanks!!!
I started this with my aussie - what cue do yo use though? I tried to use "cross' but it's too close to 'crawl'..had the poor baby confused (crawling and pawing to the left at the same time which ended up with her laying on her side :-/ )
