guided by voices - gem - I am a tree - pre gbv (original) version

I am a tree written and recorded by doug gillard while in the band gem in 1993 but released in 96 , before joining guided by voices. This 12" version is the only format by which it was released.

Which one do you like better? I think I may know the answer. I really do like this version though, The very first time I heard this I was a bit surprised at how similar the two versions are. Don't mess with a good thing I suppose. anyways.......enjoy.
