@GoGhetta1994 i'm just outside of tampa, florida..i was station in TX twice and never took hell from tx cops (for the exhaust anyways) but then again they didnt look. i know in FL having no mufflers is a fix-it ticket, but not having a cat is violation of some emissions law (of which i thought was national) and is punishable by 10k and if ur a licensed mechanic, u lose ur cert and get fined

@Sneadster Where do you live? I know in Texas that they don't give a shit. I have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 pushin about 550rrhp and its running nothing but pipe from the headers. A cop pulled me over one time and asked what brand of mufflers i had on and I told him that it was straight pipe and he told me that it sounded good and left...........But having no cats is about the same amount(ticket wise) as no muffler.............And nobody even enforces it. I get my car inspected every year like this.

@Sneadster no way dude...1. getting your muffler cut off is illegal but you wont get ticketed unless you act like a jackass. 2. taking your cats off will just ruin your truck 3. Getting your cats takin out on most trucks usually sounds like shit. The 4.7 i wouldnt take out the cats, just my opinion. But a cop will not go look under your truck I promise you. All you have to do is take a drill bit of some sort, drill a few holes in your cats, then get in the truck and rev the shit out of it

@pbmaniac51 thats what i've been told by a guy at the shop, i wanted my cat deleted but she said its $10k if you get caught and he can get shut down for it. i even offered to pay cash and he said no way, so im thinkin he's serious

All the cops around here have straights on there trucks. I live in redneck valley so its all good. As long as your not at a red light just revvin your truck up they dont give a shit

@MoParguytilidie no, its not legal. the fine for no muffler is a couple hundred....if u get caught with no cats, the minimum (i think) is like $10k
