Ever community has its unique history and in our reporting process we feel the passion of our ancestors for the land and their dedication to preserving culture. In our new series, Our Story, Our Life, we will introduce to you the history, people and traditional knowledge of various communities. This week we will visit the southernmost community of the Puyuma tribe, the Katipul community and find out its history and how it got its name. According to Puyuma legends, Puyuma tribe has 2 origins, which are the stone birth, whose ancestors originated from stones, and the Bamboo birth, whose ancestors originated from bamboo joint. Today we are going to talk about the lead community of stone birth group, Katipul, in Our Story, Our Life.
