110 years after its production this Winchester 1893 is barking again.
This predecessor to the Winchester 1897 can only be shot with Black-powder. The gun was not designed to be used with Smokeless nitro powders of later times.
First shot is a slug which on twelve meters was on target as a modern rifle.
600gn dixie-slug from a Rapine slug mould. Propelled by 75gn black-powder.
The second and third shot are also 75 gn loads with 1 1/4 ounce shot.
None of the cartridges were crimped.

This winchester1893 was from the last 1893 series 30K - B number.Build 1897.

  • @arkive54 Yes there is. It is the model that came before the '97. Do a little research next time before you post a stupid comment like that.

  • @wolfhowl95 lol. Well there are a lot of idiots out there. Some people still think the world is flat :P

  • @lucastimmer Really? I thought blacksmiths didn't know how to make Damascus steel anymore (lost art). I know in the states Damascus and twist steel barrels are considered suicidal to shoot.

  • nice vid...i have one too and i have people telling me theres no such thing as a 1893 and thats there's only a model 1897

  • just wondering: if you're dutch, which knsa discipline did you put on the WM3 to get ammo for your winchester 1893? i'd like to get one myself

  • @arkive54 Don't be a fool.

  • @chamath1985 uhh well im not sure if it this gun but sumthing like it cause when you cock it that part hits your thumb sometimes

  • @CabooseDaMan you serious?

  • '97s look more fun :)

but then again, that's like saying an RDG5 is more fun than a MK2, they both do pretty much the same thing, and both are fun as hell.

  • the famous thumb breaker
