Actually, no I couldn't. There's no room for extra gearing and a battery wouldn't have supplied enough power to get the smoke going.

@Tomlan2007 i can appreciate that 2 AA batteries wouldn't be enough for the smoke but would a 9v battery do? just a thought.

@dkbmaestrorules It's certainly worth a try. I've not used a 9v battery it myself. If you go down that route, please tell me how you get on.

@Percyfan1991 Hi. It was a Seuthe No 100 smoke unit which you can get from Gaugemaster. I think the new No 99 will work even better. My website has details of how to fit one: tomlancaster.weebly.com/fitting-seuthe-smoke-units. I hope you manage to convert your Percy. It looks like it should work.
