Hedgehog Night Event organized by "Qatar Natural History Group (QNHG)" on 2011-May-27. The event focused on finding and handling desert hedgehogs in Qatar, recording their details and releasing them back into the wild. Hedgehogs are spiny mammals similar to porcupines, but with softer spines and smaller body. They get active during night and eat insects and spiders. When threatened, they freeze and roll into a ball, making their spikes stick out in all directions.
