The Strikeforce Heavyweight Division

What's up guys, Tom is back and I'm going to into some Strikeforce talk. The Strikeforce heavyweight division is solid top to bottom, but they have a problem. Horrible Matchmaking. I'm going to tell what I think should happen when it comes to upcoming fights and hopefully we see some of the top fighters duke it out during 2011.

they just got barnett, overeem is fulfilling his dream of winning K-1. Fedor has no contender he is promoting sambo. werdum is out becuz of injury. i know Fedor lost but fighting big foot silva is a big big step back. its like Brock fighting kimbo slice after losing to Cain. Fedor would rather wait.

their fighters will b available in 2011 all of em. FEdor has said he will be back end of jan, barnett will be available from december so will overeem. werdum in feb.

I'm saying that Strikeforce needs to use the fighters they have correctly. Barnett signed back in September and there is no news on his first opponent. I have no problem with Overeem going to fight in K-1, Strikeforce didn't offer him a fight so it's coo. I never said Fedor should fight Big Foot, I said Barnett. And that Brock example is horrible, Kimbo is not Big Foot.

Antonio Silva is going to smash Valentijn, and Silva is going to come out looking like a stud. They should have strategically used Valentijn to make a guy like Rogers rebound or Del Rosario or Lavar Johnson step up and look good. If I was Strikeforce, I'd make Barnett/Fedor and Werdum/Overeem for the belt with the winners fighting one another. Then you can have Rogers fight Johnson and Del Rosario or Bigfoot fight Kharitonov. Great video buddy.

@EBWReturns Yeah, it's pretty much a set up fight for Silva, or at least that's almost what it should be. If you're going to use "The other Overeem" to set up someone, like you said, use him to build up a prospect or something, not to feed to a guy that just beat a former champion and top 10 fighter in Andrei. I think they really need to give Del Rosario a good step up fight, because the guy deserves it.

The top Heavyweights in strikeforce are overeem,fedor,werdum there top 10 werdum got back in the top 10 after beating fedor.

We all want to see overeem v fedor or overeem v werdum them are the only top fights they can make i think

Do you think the ufc or just mma in general will ever produce a Mike tyson or Ali.as in become as famous around the world as them and have international legacy"s like they do, even one day an mma athlete being named sportsman of the year or sportsman of the century like Ali.

@volkert314 Yeah, for sure. Whether it's Arlovski, Kharitonov, Rogers, or whoever, he needs to be tested. Doesn't this all make just too much sense? Why is Strikeforce struggling so much with this shit?
