You need to be creative around the greens, try one of these three specialty shots when you are stuck in ugly rough around the green Dennis Pugh: Taught six-time European Tour Player of the Year Colin Montgomerie, Greg Turner and Peter O'Malley; Europe's most prominent instructor; Creator of "The Swing Map" theory of instruction

  • Great tips!! Thank you. The 'toe' tip is something I would never have thought of. Many thanks.

  • @MicrowavedHamster wtf did you just say ...??

  • Excellent advice. I wish that more amateurs would take the time to learn these shots which are technically easy and more feel based They would save so many more strokes around the greens by trying to keep these shots on the ground rather that going airborn and risking topping or chunking.

The only advice I would like to add is that the Texas wedge shot is more effective if contact is made just above the equator of the ball thereby allowing the ball to skid for 10 to 20 % before rolling.

  • IM never on the side of the green, always in the hole...

  • loved this video -- great for the hard shots we all gen around the green

  • nice
