There is a positive light to all this debate. The more we talk about the issue the more people will be educated and the better we can make effective decisions that will benefit everyone :)

There will always be struggles with resources as our populations increase. The best we can do is use them with the least amount of disturbance to the natural ecosystems while still making a profit. I hope that the pipeline can be relocated to reduce the ecological impacts while still maintaining a profit.

Pipelines leak, Fact , there is a chemical line returning to Alberta so it's not just oil to Kitimat . Douglas Channel isn't some nice place with sand banks and calm seas . You actually think the US went to Iraq to free the people from tyranny. Feel free to educate me on the topic . 50 cents on gas , not oil , for Kitimat there will be 100 jobs and the same people that start the pipeline will end the pipeline , so a few short term jobs then qualify for EI , ya that's real job creation .

@mrstudes and no one, can say without a doubt, that there will be oil spills, do you know the future? over a time period of something like 10 years, the native lands that border where the pipeline with go, with be paid over 600million dollars, there are 30 some odd tribes. that 600 million dollars will feed them.
