Most of this show was in fact shot in a TV studio in Melbourne(ATV 0, I think. Later to become CH 10). I think it's a delight! Corny acting, corny plots...just so good. Bit like Prisoner(aka Prisoner Cell Block H)...also shot at ATV 0 studios and outsides.

Had a very small part in an episode that never aired as it was dropped a week after filming.
I used to work on the channel 10 yacht and they had a wild party scene.
Wish I could have seen it.

...and your comment is based on having actually watched the show or is it (like most people, it seems) based purely on hearsay and clip-shows?
I'm watching it on WIN at the moment and I must say it's not really as bad as people make it out to be...no worse than your average soap, really.
'Arcade' - now there's a show I'd definitely like to see due to its notoriety...
