Spending a few hours on Sunday testing and firing a couple of home made rockets.

Located near Winton in Southland New Zealand, you can see a failed test firing of a 20mm PVC rocket and successful firings of two 25mm PVC rockets.

I'm working on a plastic bag recovery system, which hopefully should be test fired soon.

  • I'm not a chemist, or a smart ass, but how can something be 500% pure?

  • isn't that the same rocket the Iranian's just tested a couple weeks ago? LOL

  • beat that rocket fuel lmao i was thinking the same thing.Try adding a little sulfur

  • Well my kno3 is only 99.8% pure and 60/40 KNO3/Sugar burns a lot faster than your rocket fuel. With 60/40 mix my rocket just blew up instead of flying lol

  • bro thats the kiwi spirit.... blow shit up

  • also, i'd suggest just making your rocket in this order step: 1,ram top clay plug... 2, ram 90% length of rocket rocket fuel... 3, ram clay plug... 4, Drill through to start of top plug (drill bit 20-30% width of rocket i think), sorry if thats exactly how you do it, it just looks like you do it differently in your video which may cause the lack of distinct power.

  • buy a cheap shit coffee blender and blend all of your ingredients (separately or it gets messy), they will bothe become super fine dusts that has a burn rate nearly comparable to gunpowder i've had sometimes.

  • if you wanna find it easier, paint it red

  • I think a smaller hole in ur nozzle. it will give you more thrust. but... it will more likely cause ur rocket to explode. lol. i agree with AKAtheA.

    good job though. ^^

  • @hellkid94 Cat litter really is the best. Try water putty.

  • @hellkid94 well go to your hardware shop and just ask for a clay tipe of something that dries quickly and gets VERY hard.

  • hey instead of the cat litter, is there an alternative?(plz reply)
