Vanessa Atler on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise at the 1999 World Gymnastics Championships in prelims. I wish she would have hit beam like that in team finals. She qualified for floor finals but was unable to compete due to an ankle injury.

  • @TikiBoy382 she hurt it during the AA on floor. Her meltdown beam routine was during Team Finals before it. What I read in an interview was that between USA Champs and Worlds she left her coaches, so the stress of it would interfere with her head and the really bad beam routine is a result of it...

  • That has to be the most aggressive Bars Routine that I've ever seen her do!! amazing what happens when you take that one release out! LOL Over all she was very strong on all 4 events! Didn't she re injure her ankle during this worlds...which kinda lead to her melt down during the rest of the competition?

  • She was actually only 7th. Behind Olaru, Raducan, Khorkina, Amanar, Dong Fangxiao, Prudonova.

The next American was Elise Ray in 12th overall.

    Rough Worlds for the US.

  • wow i think that was here best AA performance ever.

what was her AA rank after prelims?
