Here is a video showing a speed up (99000Hz from 44100Hz) version of Delia Derbyshire's fantastic composition of the Doctor Who theme used from 1967 until 1980, that makes it the longest running version of the theme! Also, I've included clean intro's & closings of Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee & Tom Baker. I used Audacity 1.3 Beta to slow the music. The theme, although 44 years old, still sounds fantastic today!
Enjoy!

I DO NOT OWN DOCTOR WHO, IT IS PROPERTY OF THE BBC. THE DOCTOR WHO THEME WAS COMPOSED BY RON GRAINER & WAS ARRANGED BY DELIA DERBYSHIRE.

  • Cool! what did you use to download those lovely quality title sequences from YouTube?

  • @bobillwho100 I used Youtube Downloader to get the video and I recorded the full theme with Audacity and saved it as a .wav file so that I could get the highest quality as opposed to downloading a compressed .mp3 version of the theme.

  • @Randomaited Which version of YT downloader? Was it the free one?

  • @bobillwho100 Version 2.7.1 and it was free

  • @Randomaited Thanks. Can I please have a link? And I see your from Cramlington, I'm from Killingworth, not that far away from you!

  • @bobillwho100 I put a link in the description becuase Youtube doesn't allow links in comments. Click on Uprgrade now, it'll take you to a page that let's you choose between the free version and the pro version, they do the same thing just the pro is faster, lets you download multiple videos at once and download and convert them at the same time. But for it's price (19.99 USD, I'm not sure how much in pounds) I don't think it's worth it. And there's a new version of YTD, version 3.3
