  • That performance of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy was great; the girls were absolutely darling. Not a big fan of how they did Sing Sing Sing, though...didn't seem nearly as free as swing's supposed to be. A bit too modern for my taste, though the dancers are all still quite talented.

  • lol nice :p this is cool

  • seriously those white shoes are the ugliest things in the world... WHHYYYYYY are they wearing them?!?!?!?

  • and Sing Sing Sing ! ... wonderful ! what a treat .. thanks so very much

  • Oh my God! - I'll be right back.

  • @Wyzdm I don't know your age, but I grew up in the 1950's and 1960's. Cool footwear for girls was saddle-shoes, (black and white or brown and white), loafers (penny loafers were coolest) and white tennis shoes or "sneakers". These were made of white canvas with rubber soles. To be ultimately cool they had to be dirty, and have holes in them. Shoes from the 1940's were about the same, and included shoes with wedge heels. Costume designers do research, but choices are based on the show.

  • @bmadejczyk

TY , but girls during that era wore Bobby-sox and Saddle shoes, NOT white sneakers!! Which is why I was wondering the change to modern shoe wear.

  • @Wyzdm That's how young people dressed in the 1940's and 1950's.

  • @Wyzdm Dancers wear specially constructed high-heeled shoes. Check the videos for Contact and you'll see what I mean.

  • @robinalysedoyle1 they still do, just not on film where we can ALL see them. You have to go to the theater.
