AMAZING was the first word that came in my mind! I think Christopher James's tone is absolutely the most amazing part of the piece. It is a very sweet sound like at 0:30
I also felt the balance between the band and the soloist was very exceptional. Especially, in high school bands, sometimes certain sections too loud or soft. The balance was good at 2:45
The musicality in Christopher's playing was absolutely splendid, and I admire the technical passages as they were so clean.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This floutist is absolutely extrodinary!!! His tone is so clear and clean. From his first note I checked back at the top to make sure i was not watching the wrong video. I first thought it was a professional orchestra. He plays with such passion that it reminds me of a professional. I think the band behind really complimented him as he played through the whole piece. The band really made him shine. At 3:45 in the faster section his notes were so clean. Amazing performance!

When I first heard this I was truly amazed by how well it was played! Christopher James played his solo so smoothly while making it seem like it was easy. At 3:42 I was amazed by how well he was able to play all the high and low notes while playing so fast. Throughout the whole piece the band was playing brilliantly while never drowning out Christopher’s beautiful solo. This was played so well it was a joy to listen to!

Christopher James sounded absolutely GORGEOUS. Beautiful tones, wide range of dynamics so much of musicality, amazing technique like clean and even notes and accurate articulation. When he is playing high range of notes (like at 1:20-1:30) or low register of notes (1:17-1:20), he is always in charge of air and his fingers. At 4:36 when he was playing high A, he played it with good support of air and musicality like a ringing sound instead of squeezing it. Very impressive performance.

No wonder you said Christopher James was amazing, because he is! The whole solo was dynamically effective and all the notes were precise and defined. (3:46) Was really when my mind was blown, in was so technical and he was playing it perfectly. (7:10 - 7:30) were spectacular runs which almost gave me chills. But the best part of the piece was (0:00 - 8:08). It was an amazing performance and would have loved to been in that orchestra at that time.

The opening of this piece was very mysterious. The way the lower section at (0:09) played the first notes set up the mood for the solo flute at (0:15). I am interested on how the soloist got his notes to be so clear on his runs at (2:29). The soloist has a wide range of notes and it doesn't matter how high or low the notes were he played them with a clear tone (5:56),(6:09). Throughout the whole performance the accompaniment never drowns out the soloist. Good job Chris!

This sounded professional. I could not believe this was live! Everything was played so accurately and expressively! (eg. solo at 5:20) The dynamics were perfect, not only in the flute solo, but also in the symphonic accompaniment. The blend was impeccable, it sounded as if it were a string orchestra! (eg. at 0:20) As for the flute solo, the tone quality was rich, warm and full. The notes were played with consistent accuracy, whether playing fast sextuplets or whole notes
(0:54).

at the start this piece was beautiful and heart-warming. I thought Chris was an amazing soloist, and is very talented. His playing sounded pure and angelic (e.g 0:15-0:25),no matter what range he was in. his playing at 3:43 made my jaw drop.He moves between notes with extreme ease.I like how this piece changed moods very quickly. For instance,it was hurried and anxious at 3:52, then happy and peaceful at 3:56, and hurried at 4:09. These changes made it impossible to be bored by this song.

"HOW ARE THOSE NOTES SO CLEAN"
:my first words when I started listening.
As a flute player as well, I think Chris James did such a wonderful job on this piece, souding like such a great soloist!
The blend between the oboe and the flute, when he comes in with the cadenza was amazingly well done, with such nice intonation.
I loved his tone quality, and the tapering of notes of each phrase. The orchestra back up was very nice because it wasn 't too overpowering.
5/5!

Such a clear and beautiful tone. When I listened to this, I thought "wow, they are playing this in a hall, its not in some fancy studio somewhere" that really impressed me alot. Overall amazing, Wish i was there
