Very good. :)
Did you know everything specially complete is a trinity? The universe is a trinity of space, time and matter. Matter is a trinity of solid, liquid and gas. Time: past, present and future. Space: Height, Width and Depth. whoa, I just blew your mind. ^_^

What is mimetic?
utubehound69 1 month ago
@utubehound69 Hi. Mimetic theory claims that we receive our desires for objects from others. That is, the reason we want things is because others either already have them or we perceive others want them. It's not about "stuff" - it's about others. There is much truth in the phrase "keeping up with the Joneses." If you are interested, I have a series of videos called "Mimetic Theory 101" that explains in more detail.

when/where does it say anything about hermaphrodites in the Bible?
persevere4triumph 1 year ago
@persevere4triumph So, Gen 1:27 says God created human beings male and female. It's not until chapter 2 when male and female are differentiated. Early rabbis suggested humans were originally created male and female, then the differentiation occurred. Thus, hermaphroditic.
If that works, for you, great. But it is certainly not essential.
Peace,
Adam

@raventelevision What do you mean differentiated? Does the idea of one being "male" and the other "female" not draw a delineation? What constitutes "male" or "female" but sexual organs? What were the rabiis trying to prove? Does this part of the bible open the door for some conflicts of science, or are they trying to answer the question of how humans randomly appeared and began reproducing? Not trying to seem brash, just curious.

@persevere4triumph I appreciate your curiosity. The early rabbis were trying to express something about human relationships. The idea that humans were meant to be one: physically, emotionally, spiritually. They had an intimate connection with one another, so that if one felt pain or joy, so would others. Then something happened, and the oneness broke. Relationships broke, and instead of sharing in those emotions, we add to the brokennes of relationships. They hoped to lead us back to healing.
