@MrSammysnake All 3 versions of Rayman (there was a Atari Jaguar version too) were all developed at the same time & all came out within a few weeks of each other.
Tomb Raider was originally going to be a Saturn exclusive until Sony dropped a big pile of cash on Eidos & Core to make it multi platform.
Resident Evil was never intended to be a PS1 exclusive anyway, the Saturn port just took a long time to finish. Besides, the PS1 got Directors Cut.
Croc is an average game at best so no big loss.

I seem to remember the PS1 had a different song on the main menu

To be fair, you should've also compared the Jaguar version as well. It's one of the rare times the Jaguar version would've beat both the PSX and Saturn, hands down. The Jag version had a bigger color pallete, more BG animations, and no load times from being on a cartridge.
However, Jaguar owners had that shitty controller to deal with.

if you make such comparission could you please compare every port, like here theres a pc version and on for the atari jaguar aswell, that would have been cool to see every version compared ;)

Rayman feels like the Doom of platformers, in that it's a game that appeared on friggin' everything under the sun

@TheKoolsurfboi12 I'm not sure I know what that means exactly.

what music did you use. it sounds like you only played one versions music.

@Rebelgtbr All the music is the same in both versions. I turned down the BGM in the PS1 version since duelling music tracks sound horrible.

The most noticeable difference are the sound effects : they are so high pitched and so annoying in the Saturn version...

@MuratArkin Your comment sparked my interest & I did some investigating! The sound effects sound exactly the same to me. What version are you playing, US,EU or JP & are you using an emulator?
