Sorry for the typos. I was getting very passionate about this topic and therefore words got missed out which sometimes obscured the point I was trying to say, but hopefully people will get the gist of what I was trying to say.
Slightly, off topic. Can anyone remember when Michael Jackson made a racial slur and had to retract it because the powerful Jewish lobby felt: you can insult and denigrate your people but don't you dare insult our people. Point being, everyone respect their own...
Ain't Nobody in their right mind trying to change a Hate word & this is exactly what wisenatts was trying to explain to you. And that's why wise said that people are acting like parrots. You're trying to defend the indefensible.
If want to define yourself by us definition then that's up to you. Besides, we speak someone's else's bastardized lanuage and I know no other group who is denigrating themselves are we do. But I guess no other group was wrentched from their homeland and scattered across the word and forced to speak someone else's alien tongue! Psychologically we are damaged. No one as yet come up with anything to convince me otherwise that word can be turn around.
We CAN change a word born of hate into love b/c we have the POWER to do that...However, we are not the parrots, they are. They heard the word & pronounced it incorrectly. We then transformed that word into slang & have every right to use it..we own it..we are it. NEVER let anyone determine & dictate who you are. Everything we are they try to take, but this word WILL be here along with our shades of brown & woollike hair...but will 1 see that as a negative or a positive is the question?
I agree, the powers that be are pimping the rap artists and reaping BILLIONS of Dollars from Hip Hop! If you don't say N*gger, B*tches, or Hoes in your music, you won't get signed, promoted or supported by the brainwashed generation who loads the pockets of the power players....and not the puppets who are the 'faces' of the sub-record labels!

Well said. That's exactly what I've been trying to explain to people for years. It's interesting that so many don't get it.

Jesse Jackson is a hypocrite and hereafter I will not take anything he says seriously ever again. We can't complain when whites calls us anything!
He comes on tv saying blacks should be doing this and doing that and he turns around and says such crap! Yeah, you balls up big time.
