  • @london1817 a "plough out" is when you remove a section of the stringer with a router to create a pocket for the stair tread to join into. It creates a wood joint similar to a mortise and tenon.

    what about cost? labor? and the overall impact on the environment? wouldn't composite be a much better way to go?
