When people get lackadaisical and indifferent and allow their government officials to operate improperly then democracy gets out of line, like what was happening before this election. Socialism, Marxism, Communism, etc. has only "worked" for a few decades until the leadership suppresses the people so much that they revolt and overturn the government . Democracy in the United States has lasted far longer and will continue if the people keep our leaders in line.
