  • Look for another video or photo showing a GP-30 leading a road train after the mid 70's. They were notoriously slippery and wound up as trailing units in later years. The siding here went to the Bureau of Standards.

  • Since this was filmed in 1983 did these GP30s still have their 567D3 engines?

  • I like how the sound gets messed up when the helpers go by those things were working hard!! There was alot of steel on that train.

  • Metropoltian Grove looks alot different today, the area on the right (formerly a field) is now going to be a business park. The siding on the left hasn't been used and years, and was finally ripped out a couple of years ago. Cool safety caboose!-Jeffrey
