  • Excellent tutorial, got me working on Emgu from 0 to "Whoa" in no time! Thank you!

    ...e comunque pronuncia fantastica! ^_^

  • @xeneon452

  • Hey,

Is there any emgu cv implementation of head tracking using IR-Led? . Can you tell me how to increase the accuracy. Have you seen Freetrack where it used DeMenthon's four point iterative pose estimation algorithm (POSIT) and Alter's three point geometric algorithm and IR-LED to track head.

  • @iLittleBrain

A good idea to improve eye localization and that do not make use of IR cameras but of a simple webcam is based on isophotes. Search here on youtube for "Accurate Eye Center Location and Tracking" and you should find some demos as the following:

    1) watch?v=1aNTsrEGM-8

When i find some spare time i'd like to implement it seems not so hard and its paper quite easy to understand and on author's website there are other works that show how to apply this in head tracking scenario

  • @badrepent thanks a lot for your reply. that was really a good one. I was actually asking for the following tracking methods. 1.watch?v=wT1RQVioDmM&feature=related is there any emgu cv implementation like this. Can you suggest me how I can make this(which algorithm)

  • @iLittleBrain

If you use IR Led it should be quite easy, it consist on some filtering to extract led blob and then a simple blob tracking should work well. These kind of projects have been faced off some years ago by Johnny Chung Lee (later hired at MS, the main creator of Natal project)...

Search on his homepage, there should be all the code for his brilliant projects!!!
