It's not the death sentence it used to be, as long as you get with a doctor and whatever meds they prescribe you. They've advanced a lot since the 80's.
This story reminds me of Andrew Cunanan, around 1997ish. He went on this killing spree around the country, going after the men he slept with and believed might have given him HIV - the last one being that fashion guy, Versace. But Cunanan was ALREADY fucked up, a compulsive liar and acted bigger than he really was.
