The San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association (SLOMRA.org) maintains the HO layout at the Oceano Depot (California). The layout needed a face lift and this is the result. About 1/3 of the scenery was stripped off and redone as well as electrical upgrades and kid-proofing. • What degree crossover are you using?

  • @kajlowen All the track on this 4x8 is Atlas code 100 Snap-Track. The crossover is Atlas HO Scale Code-100 Nickel Silver 30 Degree Snap-Track Crossing. Stay away from brass track if possible.

  • WOOOWW!! The layou and scenery are awesome. Did it took long to do?

  • @PixeletSushi Hey! It took about one month of evenings and weekends. Most things on the layout were reused from the old but re-painted. The large gray supply company and the cemetery are new. The mountain is our standard stack of packing foam and light weight Spackle. Of course it helps that I've been doing this for 40 years ;-)

  • @zkott11 he probably covers it tightly with a big cover

  • Is the hotel in the back at 3:44 a paper structure?

  • This is a really good 8x4 train table. I am working on my first 8x4 Train Table and posted a video of it on you tube after 1 year of working on it. 8x4 Train Table Layout is the title.

  • Wow, that is very nice indeed.

  • @zkott11 The photos were taken outside. The layout was built in my garage and has wheels. We rolled it outside to take the pictures. Now it lives inside a real caboose at the restored Oceano California depot.

  • Great angles on that video Dennis!
