And I thought I was a weirdo because I butterfly onto my fingers before winding on - I'm self taught, and it just seemed logical - nice to know I'm not the only one who does this! Spin on, sister!

Amazing how fast and casual she is. Reminds me of what beginner I truly am. Someday, I will get this fluid. :-)

Now this is technique! She's fast. This is hard to watch, as it's sideways, but look at the way she rolls the spindle in her hands to get a long, fast spin, and then butterflys the yarn onto her fingers to control it while winding on. These are ways to really make lots of yarn quickly and fluidly. Although I like to thigh-roll, myself, but the 2 handed twist looks great. I'm going to try it!
