  • Would it have hurt them to 1) have that piano tuned and 2) acquired an accompanist who didn't believe herself to be the second freakin' coming of Rachmaninof?

  • To be honest she is too young to play this piece. She is amazing for her age but she is out of tune alot and her technique really needs to improve before she attempts the big works.

  • I'm not going to point out the obvious that her intonation is off. But in my opinion... i would rather have some one who is lost in the music and expressing emotion than someone who has the intonation perfectly and is a robot.

  • you know what i've found out? a musician is really good if they have people praising them in another language. 真棒! :D

  • @zucchini2007 Sarah Chang....sigh. Dang music prodigies nowadays. Good luck with your playing!

  • @SpartanLion12 But Sarah Chang plays it BEST. So I'm going to look very closely at her performance, and try to play it exactly like her. :-)

  • @zucchini2007 haha yeah. (She probably plays better than me, too.) It's a killer piece for the fingers, and she plays great for her age. :D

  • @SpartanLion12 If I'm quite honest, she plays this piece much better than I do! But it's a challenging piece, there are lots of double-stops everywhere. Especially high up on the A and E strings. So I commend this little girl for the great effort she has put into this piece. I practically had to teach myself how to play this piece, because violin lessons are too darn expensive.

  • @zucchini2007 Actually, she is a bit off on the high notes, but her intonation is quite good in the tricky parts. Her technique can improve a little on this piece, though.

  • @missm0zart

Personally i think that its more that the violin is a little to big for her than that she is out of tune because she didn't know where the note was.

  • She is an AMAZING violinist!!! Wow!

  • Err her intonation is really far from perfect to the point where I would almost say bad ^^; but perhaps it's just the camera that really affects pitch
