  • Our advisory board includes scientists, lawyers, journalists, and celebrities including the former Australian Minister of the Environment Ian Campbell, the former Vice Chair of the IWC Horst Klienschmidt, Naturalist Farley Mowat, actors Pierce Brosnan, Martin Sheen, Richard Dean Anderson and Sean Penn.

None of these people would be supporting us if we were a "terrorist" organization.

  • The Japanese has sent their PR bitch to this video (user hajdumeny, 9 h ago, now banned) to try to give false, misleading or partial information to the public. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has never had a crewmember convicted of a felony crime. We are not wanted for any crime anywhere in the world. There are no criminal charges pending against us. It's all just rhetoric and name calling and nothing to take seriously.

  • Our friends - Benjamin Potts and Giles Lane - were transferred from the Yushin Maru No. 2 to the Australian Customs vessel Oceanic Viking and then to the Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin.

Both men reported that although they were roughed up when they first boarded the whaling ship, they were treated well during their time onboard.

We will now continue the chase and resume saving the whales. More news and campaign updates can be found on the official seashepherd org website.

  • If i was on the Japanese ship and someone borded it without my prior approval i would have kicked the shit out of that person and threw them back overboard stripped! I mean you guys are lucky that this is in international waters and you can get away with this. In any case Maritime law is very clear on boarding vessels: The crew reservers the right to hold the suspect in question until they reach the flag port, where the detained are passed on to authorities.

oh and dam i love to eat WHALE!

  • The Sea Shepherd decided to board, the intent could of been to sabotage the ship, the Japense had every right to protect their ship. That and since trespassing is pretty much illegal anywhere the Japenese could legally detain the SSCS members until the law enforcement arrived to properly handle the criminals.

  • Funny thing, they cry foul when they illegaly board a ship. Hell those Japenese crews are just keeping themselves safe.

  • "We are proud to announce Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has earned our 4-star rating for its ability to efficiently manage and grow its finances. This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Sea Shepherd from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust," said Ken Berger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Charity Navigator.

  • Sea Shepherd, the most committed direct action marine conservation organization in the world, has been awarded 4-stars by Charity Navigator, a leading charity evaluator based in the United States. Less than one quarter of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have received 4-stars, their highest rating. Sea Shepherd's rating clearly indicates that it has outperformed most other charities in the United States and that it is amongst the best when it comes to responsible fiscal management.

Sea Shepherd Awarded Coveted 4-Star Charity Rating by Leading Charity Evaluator

Charity Navigator Sea Shepherd Outperforms many U.S. Charities and Achieves Charity Navigator 4-Star Rating for Sound Fiscal Management

  • In the entire history over 3 decades Sea Shepherd has never caused serious injury or death to any1. The acts carried out by the Whalers have killed 3 people. It is the actions of the Whalers tht hve caused human death and taken 3 lives and r mass-poisoning thousands of Japanese families & children, and the whale killers r also smuggling whalemeat in violation of Federal Law into the USA because it won't sell and they cant get rid of it in Japan, resulting in damage to untold numbers of Americans

  • This goes much further then just killing whales. Japs are killing dolphins. They are also killing sharks just for the fins. Watch the movie "SHARKWATER" If it don't stop our world as we know is going to die! We need our sea life to keep things in balance. Stop the whaling stop killing dolphins seals and sharks!!!

  • these people are a bunch or nerds on a boat..playing around this is such a joke

  • courts dont listen. you have to take action, letter writting and protest gets you no where
