  • it is to easy!

    Pawn to h5

if he takes we promote the F pawn to queen

if he play after h5 g5

    we take the G pawn

then if he takes with H pawn we promote the

    H pawn

  • that was fun - thanks :)

  • Great puzzle... I always lose this type of engames to a computer.

  • Well it is a win for white but the ending is not so simple. Let's say after f6 black plays h4 then f7 h3 f8/Q Kg2! (not h2 Qa8 is easy win for white) Qxh6 h2 Qg5+ Kh1 Qh4 Kg2 Qg4+ Kh1 Qf3+ Kg1 Qg3+ Kh1 and this psn would normally be a draw after Kh1 because of the stalemate threat. But since black has that extra pawn on a4 it's mate in 2 Qf2 a3 Qf1 #

  • stupid puzzle it was clear

  • great illustrations!

  • good job

  • would you recommend any book in particular on end games especially focusing on pawn and king maneuvers, cuz thats where i have the most difficulty
